Hello everyone! Another day, another photo session. This time we took a Onewheel ride down my local bike trail and snapped some nature photos!
You can see in the photos what we got an I am going to go into some detail about the shots themselves, and the edits.
The first image (farthest left) I took while shooting upwards, at some large stone that had been laid into concrete. I really like this photo. I feel as though the way the stones lead you up towards the tree line is super cool. The tree line itself plays wonderfully, as the slope of the hill disappears and creates a horizon line. When it comes to editing, I wanted to emphasize sharpness and contrast, I was able to bring out the ruggedness of the stone and the lushness of the surrounding greenery. I tend to make things really sharp and contrasty. I LOVE dark darks. I also love really vibrant greens, I had a lot of fun with the colors this entire shoot.
The second image (top middle) was a happy accident. That feather was just lying there on the sidewalk as I was heading back to edit these photos. I say this in the video, but I really wish I had taken a wider lens with me. I felt if I could have had a super wide shot of this super bright concrete, contrasted with the darks from the small feather, would have made the photo that much more impactful. BUT I'm still happy with the image. I love it when things like this happen and you can turn it into an oppurtunity!
The third image (bottom middle) is the first of two shots I got of this bridge. This one I took a higher angle, and took in landscape. We ended up with a pretty wide, full view of the bridge. I then went pretty hard on the colors, I made the metal REALLY red and exaggerated which I really like the look of. And of course playing again with those greens and making them blend into the background.
The fourth image (farthest right) is the second shot of the bridge, this one in portrait. I love how we have three distinct sections of this photo, the red bridge, the green trees, and the blue sky. RGB anyone? This is probably my favorite photo of the bunch. It almost has that film look to it, while still having those very pronounced colors, which I really like.
I hope you enjoyed a little bit more insight into these photos, if you haven't please consider following our social media pages (especially YouTube!) and I hope you all have a wonderful week.
